I had a quick look around the forum, and couldn't find any other subjects that really mentioned the session played by Lene on RTL2 France, so I thought I'd give it a mention.

I just downloaded the extremely high quality, and very very beautiful stripped down and accoustic versions of Sorry,You Weren't There and Hope You're Happy from http://www.lene-marlin.no/ (Is that your website, Tef Johs? If so - thank you very much indeed!)

I don't normally like downloading stuff - but as it was my only chance of hearing the tracks, I went and did it anyway, and I'm so glad I did. I love music when it's played in it's purest and most natual way. Lene never fails to impress.

If you haven't already heard these tracks - I suggest you try your hardest to do so as soon as you can. You really don't know what you're missing.

I can only hope that Lene tours the UK soon, and plays a whole set for us to experience.

I would thank you guys again too, especially Tef and staalorm for the translations of the norwegian interviews.

Cannot control this... this thing called Lene

He, he I guess I should also write something :)

On the question of downloading etc. atleast for Norway when material is published freely downloadable on the net by the "owners" of the material I think it is pretty much in the public domain for the private viewership anyway. So the trust-line between us as an idealistic fansite and our subjects (Lene and Virgin Music) are always to keep any material strictly non-profit, quote your sources and don't get in the way of commercial interests.

Regards
Staalorm

i've been abit distant from lene-marlin.no lately, and my excuse (or reason) is that i'm currently starting up my own company, and it takes alot of time..

but im also abit forgetful, so im sorry that the mailinglist and guestbook isn't up yet .. :)

Well, thanks a lot, but lene-marlin.no is "mine" only in the sense that I'm working on its content. There are three of us over there. memo is still the overall responsible webmaster, with great help from our latest staff member staalorm (who created the mp3s, by the way).

Anyway, I agree wholeheartedly - the RTL2 live set is impressive! In full stereo high quality format, the greatness of Lene's songs really shines through in these acoustic versions.
