How many of you like the Finnish dark love-metal band HIM ( His Infernal Majesty)?? They are definitely my favourite group...I love their music and their astonishing lyrics. The singer Ville Valo is too handsome and he has a godlike voice...He's simply wonderful!!!
I LOVE YOU, HIM!!!!!
I LOVE YOU, VILLE!!!!!!!!!

That's really good!!!! Hey, but are HIM songs ever broadcast? When I was in Finland, I haven't ever heard any of them on the radio.

But, what's your real name?? And where do you exactly live in Finland?? Is Lene Marlin common in Finland??

My real name is actually Ola. It is not a typical Finnish name but as I belong to a minority (about 6%) of Finns with Swedish as their native language it makes more sense

I live in southern Finland, about 100 km east of Helsinki. Lene hasn't exactly been a chart rocket here but her songs are still played quite frequently on the radio.

I fell in love with Finnish music, especially with HIM and The 69 Eyes, since I have been in Finland and I won't ever stop thanking my great friend Olga, who made me know this wonderful music. HIM is a fantastic group and Ville Valo, besides being very handsome and having a devine voice, is a also a great musician and a great poet. There is culture behind his lyrics, for example the "cursed poets" like Baudelaire. The sentence " when angels cry blood on flowers of evil in bloom" of "The Funeral Of Hearts" is taken from "Les fleurs du mal" by Baudelaire.
I know everybody has their own likings and opinions...but I don't allow anybody to say HIM's music is bad. That would be the biggest lie I have ever heard!!
Another wonderful group is Nightwish....have you listened carefully to Tarja's voice?? Tell me...how many other singers nowadays have such voice as hers??

HEARTAGRAM AND DARK FOREVER!!!

Well, *all* Finnish music is not good, take my word for it ;)
However, in recent years it seems as if the interest for Finnish music has increased - probably a result of better marketing. Rasmus, Darude, HIM, Bomfunk MC's, Nightwish, Apocalyptica, 69 Eyes, Killer... are all good examples of Finnish bands who have made it outside our small country. They don't necessarily represent my music taste but that is beyond the point.

So, who knows and likes this wonderful Finnish group?? It's very strange that no girl here has ever seen that masterpiece of beauty and poetry which is Ville Valo!!!!

It's a swedish group. Musicly they're not like HIM, just mantioned it because the names. But they're extreamly talented. Their debut album, Happines, is probarbly one of the best swedish albums ever.

THE SACRAMENT

I hear you breathe so far from here
I feel your touch so close and real
And I know
My church is not of silver and gold
Its glory lies beyond judgement of souls
The commandments are of consolation and warmth

You know our sacred dream won't fail
The sanctury tender and so frail
The sacrament of love
The sacrament of warmth is true
The sacrament is you

I hear you weep so far from here
I taste your tears like you're next to me
And I know
My weak prayers are not enough to heal
The ancient wounds so deep and so dear
The revelation is of hatred and fear

You know our sacred dream won't fail
The sanctury tender and so frail
The sacrament of love
The sacrament of warmth is true
The sacrament is you The sacrament is you
The sacrament is you
The sacrament is you
The sacrament is you

You know our sacred dream won't fail
The sanctury tender and so frail
The sacrament of love
The sacrament of warmth is true
The sacrament is you

You know our sacred dream won't fail
The sanctury tender and so frail
The sacrament of love
The sacrament of warmth is true
The sacrament is you

THE PATH

There is no turning back from this unending path of mine
Serpentine and black it stands before my eyes
To hell and back it will lead me once more
It's all I have as I stumble in and out of grace

I walk through the gardens of dying light
And cross all the rivers deep and dark as the night
Searching for a reason why time would've passes us by

With every step I take the less I know myself
Every vow I break on my way towards your heart
Countless times I've prayed for forgiveness
But Gods just laugh at my face
And this path remains
Leading me into solitude's arms

I seek through the darkness my way back home
The journey seems endless but I'll carry on
The shadows will rise and they will fall
And our night drowns in dawn

Amidst all the tears there's a smile
That all angels greet with an envious song
One look into stranger's eyes
And I know where I belong

I walk through the gardens of dying light
And cross all the rivers deep and dark as the night
Searching for a reason why time would've passes us by

Oh I seek through the darkness my way back home
The journey seems endless but I'll carry on
The shadows will rise and they will fall
And our night drowns in dawn

And the path goes on...

ENDLESS DARK

Softly the light shines in through
The gates of grace on me and you
Deceiving our restless hearts
A flickering flame so serene
Devours the night so we could see
The fear we hold on to so strong

But I know where I belong
Away from your gods
That heal our wounds
And light this endless dark

Lonely the light shines on you
Through the gates of fire entombed
Feeding on your own
Weak is the blaze that kept me away
From cruelty and tenderness embraced
Saving my soul no more

And I know where I belong
Away from your gods
That heal all wounds
And light this endless dark

And I know where I belong
Away from your gods
That heal all wounds
And light this endless dark
That shine on you and tame your burning heart
That bury my truth right into your arms
That worship the tomb of our forlorn love
