hello to all !!!
well,i'm in a great mistake...
it's been since lene did "palying my game" that i'm listening to her music..but i still didn't have the magic chance to see her in concert...
please,you,big gods of lene marlin's world,let me know when she will play in paris!!! i hope it's not too late
there are any valid informations about concert planning,so i compt on you,which know well the subject,to answer me perfectly!!!

Hi Norskelgen, welcome and join the club.
I mean: welcome to Lene.it and join the club of frustrated Lene fans who have never seen her for real. I'm searching the net for a long time now about any news of a concert. There were the cancelled concerts a while ago (I still have the ticket, silly isn't it?). I can understand your reaction here. If I know anything, this forum is the first place to read about it. But for the moment there's no news at all. 
I know the Lene.it-staff does all they can to keep us informed. Another very good site is http://www.lene-marlin.no/ and http://www.vg.no/spesial/bakgrunn/?id=185 somethimes has news to.
Hopefully your (and our) wish for a true Lene Marlin-concert will come true

so,'m not the only one!!! yes,you can say frustrated !!! it's been for about 5 years i'm running after a Lene's concert...it's a pity,coz in less time,i've seen others favorite bands 3 or 4 times!!!!
ok,i hope that the concert dates will come soon!!!

Welcome norskelgen... nice to have you here. Don't fret too much over the Lene concert... i'm sure you'll be able to see her soon! It's really easy in Europe, isn't it? Don't worry... you'll be able to watch one of her concerts soon! 
It's nice to be in Europe... many artists are talented there! Now there aren't many in South-East Asia... pity...
I'm sure Norway'll be a great chance to get to see Lene in person... get her exclusive merchandise and so forth... have a great time!

sure,french is a beautiful language...maybe as beautiful as chineesenbut sorry,it's a pity from my part to don't know how to speak chineese...
french is nice to say love things(oh yeah,we are French Lover,isn't it!!),you can insult someone without vulgar words,just in being polite!!this is great!!!
but still,french has got its limits .. : it's a f**king hard language to learn!!! and it's not that good to make people discover french language,you know it...luckily,you learned it well!!!
but sometimes,english is better to say some things..like in songs... don't you feel that if Lene's songs were in french,it would't sound the same???it'd be totally different...i guess the same as if she was singing in norwegian..(ok,request to very fans of lene : do someone know if lene recorded songs in norwegian???if someone got some,i'd be very interested to listen them !!!)

We've been talking about this before. Nobody has heard of Lene singing in Norwegian. We don't know for sure off course.

Mais pourquoi? Cette belle langue. Il y a beaucoup chanson français vraiment magnifiques. Beaucoup de chanson que nous connaissons en version Anglaise sont traduites du Français (comme 'My Way' de Frank Sinatra).

yes,sure,there are a lot of songs in french which are fantastic...(sorry,but "my way" isn't that great for me!!i really prefer claude françois' one!!!the translation of "omme d'habitude" isn't enough good,anddon't reveal the real spirit of that song!!!).
some french singers are real poeter!!!like..euyh.. Francis Cabrel,Pascal Obispo and so many more ...
but french is good to transpose feelings about love mainly...i know it well,i sing in a band of rock,and even if i'm french and i love my country and my language,i sing i english..coz with the style of music we are doing,it's strange to use french...in rock music,french is used by kind of poets like Benabar(it's a sweet kind,with a lot words games...),or more metal,like Pleymo or Enhancer,but by this way it's becoming a kind of rap-core...
i could not imagine a punk band singing in french,even not a grunge band as well!!!!
our style is more like silverchair-foo fighters-the used(but still i'm a lene marlin fan!!!i just let emotions come into my skin and soul...),so french is unusable!that's what i think,and that's why i said that french language has its own limits...
but still,we are not genious...some succeed in doing intensive rock,and singing in french...i think about Noir Désir(you must all have heard about this band),or more recently AqME ...
and some great bands still unknown are using french...if some of you live in Paris,we are playing at the emergenza festival,in semi finals...there will be 7 other bands this night.
it's the friday 28th,at 19.30 at le New Morning ,7 rue des petites écuries paris 10ème,metro Chateau d'eau (ligne 4). the entrance is 10 euros for all night(from 19.30 to 23.30)
ok,that was my little speech about that!!!! lol

Hah... you guys posted so much... guess i should visit the site earlier in the day.
Yeah, French is quite a flexible, lovely language... i want to visit France someday... i've heard it's a beautiful place... a city of lovers... and so many ways to express your love... so poetic...
Many French singers produce good music... the older generation with Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel as examples... the newer ones like Kyo and Alizee...
And by the way, any suggestions for nice, poetic French music? Benebar is is poety, his Bon Anniversaire being my favourite... has a nice, warm feel to it. Guess i'm rather out of date though... i don't really know of Noir Desir... 
And how do you put in the accents? I can't seem to get them in...

Welcome norskelgen!! A bit of life in this forum 
Lene's tour should begin after summer holidays (September should be the month). I think she will begin in Norway (but not in Tromso!) and then she will most surely play some dates in Italy and in Paris and Madrid.
There aren't Lene songs in Norwegian and perhaps there won't be, she has no difficult to write lyrics in English.

and yes,if you want to visit paris one day,i'd be pleased to do it!!!!i'm an excellent tour guide in paris,i did for some americans groups and for friends from europe as well!!!!
hey,you should know about noir désir!!! "l'homme pressé" is good,"le vent l'emportera" et "un jour en france" are good as well!!!
it's a rock band,with lyrics very engaged against globalisation,the New World Order(just makling money),against human stupidity and Universal!!!but last summer,during a fight with his grilfriend marie trintigniant,a famous french actress,he killed her ... it happened duringa movie making in lituania,and so now he's in jail for 10 eyars approximatly... but still his songs are nice!!!
ok,i agree a bit for Kyo..they have good lyrics and intensive music....but Alizée?? ahhhhhhhhhhh je crie de désespoir !!! alizée is just a bullshit of business music !!! sorry if you like it(she's very famous in italy isn't it??my italian friends were singing this all the time when i met them!!!!) she's not a real singer for me ...
she's making play-back in all tv shows,and she's in mini skirt,even when she went to sing on a tv-show for handicaped children ...
one day,someone compared lene marlin to alizée,i just throw my fist in his face!!! lol
and for french accents in your key board like é è à ç ,sorry,i don't know the code to do it!!it's already in my keyboard ... so you'd have to get a francophone keyboard!!!!
