Well here's how it goes for me,
I was a BIG Eminem fan in that time...so big that I hadn't listend to anything for about 7 months!
I was getting bit tired so I started purchasing other albums from other bands...Evanescence, Linkin Park, D12 & Finally Lene Marlin: Another Day,
Well I putted the Lene Marlin Album...and started Listening...and since then [About 4~5 months] I hadn't listend to anything else!

Hehe... first, welcome to the forum, Superfan. You're the first Iranian here, i should think.

Well, my oldest sister first saw Lene's video "Sitting Down Here" in Stockholm, Sweden when my second oldest sister won a trip there to see BSB (Backstreet Boys). When they came back, during the Olympics in 2000, i remember i was watching gymnastics when my oldest sister called my mum and dad and begged them to buy Lene's PMG CD in Tower Records (the only shop that sells Lene's CDs here). And that's how it all started...

My oldest sister fell out of Lene during her years of abscence (and also mainly because she was sick of Lene's songs since i played them too often ), but i kept my faith and was thrilled when AD came out. I had to go to Tower Records no less than ten times to actually get my hands on it... and then i kept on playing the CD (it was lucky my oldest sister was in Australia). Now she's back and Another Day is her favourite song in the CD...

And what of you? What's your favourite song in the AD CD?

Well, first of all thanks for the welcome,

In Iran Music [foriegn] is illegal! So I had a really hard time to get all those albums,
[That probably describes why i'm the first Iranian here!]

and the other question is EXTREMLY hard to answer, I mean I love'em all!

But I think "Another Day" , "Fight Aghainst The Hours" & " You weren't there" where a bit better,
But I'm sayin it again...I Love them all!

that's incredible all the troubles there is in the world ... music = illegal ..it's a shame ... how man came to this .. i hate this world.
..if i could bring all the people thinking the same as me in a brand new world,i'd be so glad ...
music is the only way for me to get out that daily pain, and still,i'm living in france,so i know there is worst(oh damn, yes, there is worth places in the world... what a pity...)
but that'"s not the subject,it believe it won't change anything to debate on it.

well,i was in a cd shop in my town, tehre were big reducing of price son cd's ... friends told me that Ben Harper's album was nice,so i took it,thecd was 69.95 francs at this time(10 euros),and i still had money to buy an other one ... and it was for about 1 month that everytime i was going to this shop,i was seeing this strange blue cd,with this gril in it.everytime i was taking it in my hands, watching, but never bought it ... and this cd was the same prices as the others this day,so here we go !!! thta's how i get playing my Game of lene marlin, the limites version with a live cd and an interview by virgin. and it had been a shock for me!!this cd was fantastic!!! that's a bit a lucky finding, but a nice one !!!

Is Paris that horrible? Many people say that it's a beautiful city -- the City that Never Sleeps, the City of Lovers, the Romantic City...

I don't think that France is one of the worst places in the world... think of Bahrain and Baghdad and Africa... at least you're not going through physical pain!

I became a fan of Lene in 1999. I was on a trip to Stockholm and fell in love with her video for "Sitting Down Here." I actually didn't know who she was when I went back to the U.S. a week later because I had missed the very first part of the video.

Well, a few months passed by and I kept thinking I want to know who that singer was, so I remembered a line I had heard in the video that stuck with me and searched online for lyrics and then that came back as Lene Marlin. I looked at her pics and recognized her as the girl from the video.

So then I went and bought her album and couldn't put it down. The only thing that sucks is I haven't been able to buy AD yet because it is too expensive for me-- $50.

Hopefully the price will go down soon.

The funny thing about the PMG CD I bought is that I bought it from CDNow.com and they misprinted the CD. It says "Plaing My Game" instead of "Playing My Game". It's a Japanese CD with the Japanese inserts, but I love it nonetheless!

Its funny how I can remember this I can hardly remember what I had for breakfast but this is different it seems...

I saw a clip of Sitting Down Here on saturday morning tv way back in December 1999 - it was on thing thing that had tips for 2000. After seeing the clip, I stalked music channels so I could see the whole video! I remember that I used to spend many mornings when I should have been getting ready for school watching music videos to see if they would play Lene

We had this topic several times in our Italian forum history (also recently again)
I can tell you I listened to this beatiful voice the first time in radio (like many other people in Italy) in 1999 and it was like a fulguration. Other people saw the video of US on a channel called TMC2 and couldn't forget her face. Then there was the Festivalbar that year and all Italians discovered Lene Marlin.
As soon as I had the pc, in January 2000, I searched sites related to her and I followed for some months the debates on the forum of lenemarlin.com
Then, one day, on the site of Patrick Felder (a Swiss fan of Lene) there was this request of subscriptions to open an Italian fan-club. It was our webmaster who had had this idea. I didn't subscribe immediatly the first days, 'cos I wanted to see how things would go with this new site.
Well... today I can say they went very well. From August 2000 almost 3 years of silence, but we were always optimistc and ready for the great moment. Already another year has gone now, and the official site lenemarlin.com has not opened yet.
But what's important is that always new fans are arriving to tell us their experience. Thank you Superfan!

Cannot control this... this thing called Lene

About 4 years ago - MTV played a video of this really sweet looking girl with amazing smiling eyes, wearing a hat, playing guitar and singing a really catchy song called "Sitting Down Here", although I must confess - I wasn't convinced enough to buy the single. A month or so later - MTV started playing another song by a really sweet looking girl with amazing moody looking eyes and dark hair - singing a really cool song called "Unforgivable Sinner".

I was convinced enough to go and buy this one. Put it on when I got home - the song sounded great, but track 3 on the single absolutely blew me away. The live version of "The Way We Are" was enough to convert me into a Lene fan and buy and listen to as much of her work as possible.

My loss, here we go again...

For me Unforgivable Sinner was the first Lene song I heard. I was stil living with my parents and I was sitting in the living room with my mom and MTV was on. Lenes new video came on and I really liked it. But since I wasn't much of a music fan back then I didn't think about it that much afterwards.(actually I think Lene is a main reason that I love music so much today)Sometime later I was in a musicstore just window shoppping and as I was about to leave a saw her album on a stand and rememberd her song. So I listend to the album and I've been a fan since that moment.
