>> but in case she wanted to answer?????
That's an option. ;)
But considering the fact that she is kind of introverted I think that she would never answer such a question.

Last but not least I think this question is nothing anybody has to apologize for. Nobody forced her to answer this question.

Again let me clearify: he did not have to ask the question. In shows like these they CHOOSE witch questions to ask. They don't ask every question they get. And when did this becomme a question of politics? No one said that he shouldn't have the right to ask this but that it was a clumpsy thing to do! You can be rude and politicly correct at the same time you know.

Never forget what kind of audience they want to address with that show. It is not the grown up, educated and political correct audience but the teenagers that like to speak about sex and things with their friends.

avril lavigne... I think she's the kind of "artist" in 2 years nobody will remember anymore.

Why do you curse someone who has success and is not called Lene?

I agree with the people who left their messages before about Avril Lavigne. I don't like her and her music and I hope she'll disappear from the success as soon as possible. That's all!

did i?!? it's not that i don't like her, some of her songs aren't that bad.
what i said is just my opinion, has nothing to do with her success or her name. she's the kind of girl designed by managers and extremely pushed by music industry to impress those "insecure" teenagers who think that anarchism and "**** the system - lifestyle" is everything out there.
these people ( avril ) usually don't even make it to publish their third album, but i can also be wrong. we'll see...

People like this have the bad habbit to stay I know a few examples. I don't know why lavigne keeps having succes though. I've a few live concerts on tv and she always sings out of tune several times. She sucks live. Lene proves to be the better artist live.

It's what I thought of britney spears when I first saw her.

Who are we kidding?
shitty * music will keep ruling the music world for a long time to come.
Unless, maybe, the p2p system changes the way we see music. But it won't happen anytime soon, I fear.

Even when britney/avril/<insert teen-pop singer> go down (and I sincerely hope they do soon, fast and hard), someone else will go up and take their position.

The only possible course of action is not to concentrate your attention on what MTV shows and look at not-very-known music to sate your needs, or to the very rare pop singers who are actually worth something.

...which is a cover of Bob Dylan's original version.

Otherwise I agree with your points, I don't really see the difference between Avril and Britney either, I think the idea was to market Avril as some kind of
punk-Britney and see if anyone bought it. Which they did, of course...

And yeah, there is the distinct possibility that she'll be around for some time still, some of these musical non-entities have proven to be remarkably resilient (after all, people like Britney and "J-Lo" have been around for 5 years now) .
