I haven't had the chance to ever hear this Lene track, "I Know", I think it's on the B-side of "Sitting down here" single (one of the versions), and the Japanese version of PMG?
Is there any way I could get hold of that song, perhaps on mp3 format on the internet? I'd love to buy that single with the song on it, but there's no way I can get hold of a copy (I guess).
In any case, how is that song? My bet is of course it's wonderful, but can it be explained somehow? I know it's short, just 2:20 or similar.
Thanks. |

Yes, 2.23, and it's a beautiful, melancholic, bass song. The text is on this site. Try to buy it on ebay, you should find the item (European version with 3 songs: SDH, PMG acoustic vers., I know) in short time: http://www.anycelebrity.com/ebay.php?ArtistLNK=+Lene+Marlin
This is Lene Marlin, an angel sent on Earth to sing with celestial voice the endless beauty of Paradise. Hearing to her voice lets us come nearer to perfection. |

Oh, my God! I just found and downloaded "I Know" from the german Lene site, in high-quality realaudio, and I almost couldn't believe my own ears listening to that fabulous classical guitar opening! What a wonderful song this is!
One can't help but wonder, why wasn't this song put on Playing my Game when originally released? Did Lene write this track after the album's release? It is easily on par with the rest of her songs!
In any case, I'm so glad I'm finally able to listen to this song. And, even though I'd encourage anyone to buy music (I always do, when I can find it), I'll just go ahead and give the direct link to "I Know" right here, so that everyone can enjoy this rare little piece of pure Lene genius (grab it quickly, quad!).

(If the site admins don't like direct links to free music, please indicate this, and I'll remove it.) |

If you've never heard "I know", you may also not know Lene wrote two songs for norwegian singer Sissel... They are "Should it matter" and "We both know", and even though they aren't sung by Lene her style shows clearly. Plus, Sissel is a wonderful singer too...

I sure know of "Should it matter" and "We both know". I bought the Sissel album when it was released in 2000. And they're great songs, I think "Should it matter" is by far the best song on the whole album!
And you're right, Lene's style shines through clearly, even though she isn't the one singing! |

just to clear things up if you're uncertain;
"I Know" was as a b-side song on the European version of the single, "Sitting Down Here".
you can find the lyrics at http://www.lene-marlin.no
