Just heard on NRK P1. The recording will start next week.

---
http://www.nrk.no/musikk/4396278.html

New "Sammen for livet" ["Together for life"]

Norwegian artists are going to make a new "sammen for livet" [That is a charity song several artists recorded together] to support the tsunami victims. Espen Lind and Lene Marlin will create the song together.

Yesterday Spellemannprisen decided that for the time being there are things which are more important to think about than spellemann nominations.

Espen Lind and Lene Marlin together will write a song corresponding "Sammen for livet" from 1986, and the spellemann commettee now has collected Norway's foremost artists to support the tsunami victims in Asia.
---

So it could be in Norwegian. Now, that I am curious about. :)

PS: That was the first version of the article.

Thus, it seems it's going to be something brand new, not a remake of any song.

I'm happy about this, because every attempt to help those people has to be made, and Espen Lind is a great songwriter and singer. I'm looking forward to this.

Some articles:

http://www.nrk.no/musikk/4396278.html
http://www.nordlys.no/kultur/article1396331.ece
http://www.bladet-tromso.no/kultur/musikk/article11705.ece
http://pub.tv2.no/TV2/underholdning/absolutt/article323321.ece

Lene will be on TV2 today at 6 pm. If you can, dont' miss it!

Hey what do you think of me now?
Am I not like I once
were
Still if you don't
know me,
what's the
story of this pen
I guess you're not a
stranger
and I can tell you're not a
friend
It might take a
while but I guess
I'll manage
waiting 'till then...

Then...
when you
confront me with your thoughts.

No, but it seems to be a bit clearer now.

http://www.nordlys.no/kultur/article1396956.ece

Lene and Espen will only write the melody and not the lyrics for the song that all the artists sing together. There will be a single and a double-cd relesed in about two weeks. And the double-cd will contain "between 30 and 40 new and old songs which the artists suppose could fit that campaign".

Update:
http://www.aftenposten.no/kul_und/musikk/article941286.ece

The lyrics have to be in Norwegian, so that's obviously the reason why they want someone else to write them... But the article says that so far no one has been found.
It also says that there could be "a gigantic concert" sometime.

Short (26 sec. / 3 MB) clip from the recordings. Lene is not visible, but her melody is all the more audible. :)

Uploaded through YouSendIt:

Hope it works.

Don't know how you do that, but your work is always precious. Thank you once more Daniel

The melody is not bad, it seems the typical style of a charity song. It's a bit peculiar for us 'cos it's in Norwegian, but, what's most important, it's a Lene song.
Lene seems not to be in that group, I've watched carefully all the pics in all perspectives. Perhaps she sings some verses of one strophe? *hope*

Daniel should choose to Admin, I guess....

CLEANLINESS IS NEXT TO GODLINESS. But...they’re all gross, dirty and stinky no matter how pretty and tidy they look. That’s why I don’t do and use what they usually do and use. If you wake up in the morning, wash your face, brush your teeth, comb your hair, change your clothes, have some breakfast and then go to school/university or workplace and you don’t think there is something wrong with that then you must be gross! Don’t blame your God if you have so many acnes, pimples and blackheads on your face and body. Also don’t be confident when wearing bikini because you don’t look hot at all! You look like scary creature with spotted and blemished skin!!

I have to say that International Fans have the most fanciful nicknames
So Welcoe ToiletPapers etc.

I was already thinking about suggesting Daniel as officially collaborator, but in any case he's already working together on this site and on lene-marlin.no too. What counts is that he's a great Lene fan, one of the few German left

I was a little bit off in my transcript, but nothing serious

The whole video hasn't been shown yet, Marko, I believe nobody has seen or heard the full lyrics (Tuesday it will be aired here in Norway).

There are a lot of new pictures posted in our gallery (Major Events ---> 'Venn' recordings)

Thanks again, Daniel for the ripped mp3

I also think the song is awesome...the last verse by Lene is so...I don't know...emotional?

I have tried to make an unofficial English translation of the full lyrics, for you Italians (and others) who can't understand what the words say:

Friend
(L. Marlin/E. Lind - with co-authors on the lyrics)

When heavens burn black
When the sun is making night
And everyone has gone away
And you are the only one back

When the days are being crushed
When time itself has passed
When the hope is in need of crutches
And a hand to hold at last

Chorus:

I can be a friend
I see that you are falling
I See that you are falling
You will rise once again

I can be a friend
I see that you are falling
I See that you are falling
You will rise once again

Again - I can be a friend

When meaning gets small
And the emptiness so great
When the believers get tired
I will be standing tall

When there's nothing you can do
Fully and well once again
There is one thing I can do
I can be a friend

(chorus)

I can be a friend

(chorus)

I can be a friend

You will rise once again

I can be a friend
I can be a friend

You will rise once again

I can be a friend
I see that you are falling
I See that you are falling
You will rise once again
