Well, i know most of you here aren't Chinese (i'm Malaysian-Chinese, if you'd like to know) or a race that celebrates the festival and don't know much about the Chinese New Year, but today (8th February 2005) is the Chinese New Year Eve...
So i'd like to say Happy Chinese New Year Eve, have a great reunion dinner, and have a great New Year, to all those that celebrate it. And to all those that don't, have a nice day.
I'd like to post something in Chinese lettering, but unfortunately it can't be done! So i'll translate it... have a happy and prosperous new year.  See you soon.

Barely staying afloat in this blood red sea.
The eyes i looked at as jewels of hope,
Now hold just despair, how shall we cope?

So, a Happy New Year to all the Chinese!! 
I've heard on tv that a lot of couples married in the last weeks 'cos this year should be unlucky...
They shouldn't believe in such superstitions in the year 2005!

but anyways
do chinease know this year as the rooster or chicken year?
and I think it'll be a good year since I'm 80% going back to the u.s!

It can be both, but it's more commonly known as the Year of the Rooster. Chicken sounds a bit... weak.

lol...yea I agree chicken, it like so "chickenish"
so its the rooster year...In Iran it'll be the Snake year (in about 3 weeks from now) that means MGS well sell like hell
