Long time struggle she felt faint and dreary
All she wanted was to make you proud

Had his birthday a few days ago
He got some presents, a big party too

E' probabile che si riferisca ad un padre poco presente coi suoi figli, come dicevamo ieri sera/notte in chat.
Cmq aspetto un testo più definitivo, così da avere una traduzione esatta che faciliti l'interpretazione.
E' ovvio che anche stavolta siamo difronte ad un testo abbastanza impegnativo, e non semplice o stupido come in molte canzoncine teen-pop-commerciale
Lene è Lene. Per lei ogni canzone è un impegno ben preciso ed un opera destinata a durare nel tempo.

Ovviamente, Lene nn scrive testi stupidi!
Certo, canzoni come "Place nearby" o "flown Away" hanno testi + belli, ma nn sempre i singoli d successo sn quelli con il testo + profondo (vedi Sitting Down here).
Cmq è sempre molto misterioso il significato.
Secondo voi Lene ha scritto YWT negli ultimi tempi, o + vicino a PMG?Io dico la seconda!

Già, concordo.
Lene ha ripreso il lavoro da dove per una serie di motivi era stato sospeso. E giustamente non ha ritenuto opportuno stravolgere il suo stile.
Ed il risultato si vede!

Ho messo in bold i pezzi che a mio parere sono piu' toccanti nella canzone e ho messo in inclinato i pezzi che imho erano da impostare in modo diverso.. in quel punto "You weren't there" non ci sta molto bene imho come l'arrangiamento musicale nel pezzo finale.. dietro ci avrei visto una pausa musicale.. quasi un silenzio.. tipo PMG alla fine..
Poi non fraintendiamo.. e' un capolavoro..

A parte che dovrebbe suonare meglio "Tu non eri lì" ma questo è a libera interpretazione.

Concordo cn il Pres, secondo me frasi come:
a) You see his heart was broken
b) I wonder if you'll come
c) I wonder if you'll come (ke mette anke nel ritornello)
d) And miss you once again (idem)
sarebbero difficili da indirizzare a un gruppo d persone ... poi were si usa x anke x la 2 pers singolare, sul fatto ke si rivolga ad una persona nn avrei dubbi.

A me è parso ke in un frangente tra la "e quasi a -ae" e un suono inarticolato Lene ne emette uno un po + nasale, come fosse una "n", quindi dovrebbe essere la prima (ke tra l'altro mi piace d +!)

Io solo una cosa non capisco.....all'inizio parla sempre di una donna infatti è scritto tutto al femminile ma perchè nel pezzo

ecco perchè qui è LUI che avrebbe dovuto piangere più forte per farsi sentire?Se ho scritto una boiata non ci fate caso....visto che sono le 5 del mattino!!!! |

In questa parola che ho messo bold non e' questa..
You stand far away
Qua ASSOLUTAMENTE non dice You stand, ma dice DISTANT!!!
E concordo sull' heads invece che hand.. anche se non si capisce..
Sul fatto del YOU WEREN'T THERE sono quasi sicuro che si riferisca ad entrambi.

Se Lene si riferisce davvero ad Uno o ad ENTRAMBI i genitori che sono "lontani" dai propri figli, allora il tuo dubbio è subito sciolto!
Nella prima strofa Lene parla della Figlia, che nel vincere la partita (di chissà quale sport), torna a casa. E l'unica cosa che vuole è rendere fiero il proprio genitore. ( O Genitori). Ma Lui, il padre non c'è ! Oppure non ci sono Entrambi...
Poi parla dal Figlio. Con il suo compleanno, la festa, i bigliettini d'auguri. Ma nessun biglietto da parte del Padre. O di tutti e due i genitori...
Il tutto si ripete nelle altre due strofe dopo il rit.
Prima si riferisce alla Figlia , e poi al suo fratellino.
Si, ci vedo una figlia più grande e un fratellino...!
